Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and record production data from such documents as schedule, work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets. Enter data into ERP and Timekeeper system.
  • Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Write or generates system production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed.  Roll data up into master shift or daily production report for supervisor use.  Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Ensure all paperwork  (labels, travelers, pre-op, cooking reports, etc..) is available at least 30 minutes prior to shift startup or changeover.
  • Monitor and control the physical materials into and out of the work center. Reconcile inventories at end of shift.  Make inventory adjustments in ERP as necessary. Record and report variances to material standards. Conduct mass balance analyses at end of production runs.
  • Communicate inventory variances to planning department as needed.
  • Chart production, based on statistics compiled, for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sort and distribute work orders or material to workers.
  • Monitor operations of production in area assigned to make certain that the line or lines are performing at or above standard.
  • Clearly provide communications to employees assigned to lines of daily expectations and duties required to meet objectives.
  • Coordinates all raw materials, packing supplies and any other needs are proactively acquired to assure the smooth operation of assigned line(s)


Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months relevant experience in a similar position 
  • Prior experience in food production space preferred 
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English fluently 
  • NAV Database software experience/knowledge preferred 
  • Ability to life and/or more up to 20 lbs
  • Previous experience/knowledge working in Excel preferred
